I came into Christian Science after the healing of my daughter, and I am glad to tell of some of the many benefits I have received from this healing and saving truth. I suffered a severe injury to the kneecap, and the knee often pained me greatly, especially in change of weather and when I was fatigued. I had worn a rubber knee supporter for five years, and the doctors said I could never get around without it. I was able to walk fairly well on level ground, but in going up and down stairs I was obliged to put my whole weight on one foot. After coming into Christian Science I laid aside the bandage, and with it all my fear, and then I was able to walk up and down stairs as well as any one, nor do I suffer from any change of weather. While visiting a relative at one of the large Chicago hospitals, a well-known surgeon heard of my case. He considered it very remarkable that I had such perfect use of my leg, considering that the knee bones were still separated, and he asked the privilege of taking an X-ray photograph of it to use in a paper on the subject. Only a short time before this, this same surgeon had said it was imperative that I have an operation, but after he saw the improvement he said, "Let well enough alone."

Besides this I had for twenty years suffered from stomach trouble, and had always been on a very rigid diet. I sometimes craved the things prohibited, but after indulging in these a few times the consequent suffering was enough to prevent any further trail. I have since obeyed the Scriptural injunction, "Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat;" and I have eaten anything I wanted. For the many beautiful demonstrations of Truth's power I am very grateful and happy.
