It is no part of the duty of Christian Scientists to engage in uncalled-for criticism of those who are striving in their own way to ameliorate human suffering.
The
command of Jesus that we should seek "first the kingdom of God," has since his time been deprived of its full significance, owing to the fact that the rest of the verse has been practically rendered, "then seek all these things" instead of "and all these things shall be added unto you.
Human
language at its very best, and as best understood, is indeed but a feeble vehicle for the transmission of the truths of Christian Science to the human consciousness.
With wide differences of opinion and uncertainty among physicians with regard to diagnosis, the Christian Scientist, who trusts to God for his life and health, cannot be expected to rely or wait upon one diagnosis, which may be entirely different from that of another doctor of equal eminence and experience.

As an evidence of the deep sense of gratitude I feel for the many benefits received from Christian Science, I desire to tell something of the healing which I experienced.

Through a healing from the effects of a fall I became interested in Christian Science, and while in Salt Lake City, a year ago, I attended service in the Christian Science church.
When the truths of Christian Science first came to me, I was to mortal sense a physical and mental wreck; could not eat or sleep, or even read five minutes at a time.
I came into Christian Science after the healing of my daughter, and I am glad to tell of some of the many benefits I have received from this healing and saving truth.
