The lips say what the heart feels! My heart is filled...
The lips say what the heart feels! My heart is filled with gratitude for Christian Science and I must give expression to it. Through the teaching of Christian Science I have found a peace which no mortal could give me,—a peace obtained only through the uncovering of hidden sins, and through the teaching that divine Love does extinguish all error. When we thus overcome we gain a peace of mind which the world can neither give nor take away. I have received the greatest blessings through the study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and Mrs. Eddy's other works, as well as Der Herold, the Sentinel, and the Journal.
But not I alone have found this happiness; my children are likewise enjoying the blessings. Two children have been healed of bronchial and asthmatic attacks, after all medical aid, an operation, and a change of climate from central Germany to the far West in the United States had failed to effect a cure. This statement will be still more appreciated when I add that we had lost our twelve-year-old boy three years before. The physician who was consulted, an experienced and conscientious man, had declared that the boy's heart was too weak through the frequent attacks for him to recover. After that another acute disease set in, and there seemed to be no strength to rally from an operation. The terrible anxiety and discouragement which overcame me every time such attacks appeared, have now left me. Peace and assurance have entered in, and I know that my children are safe when governed by divine Mind. Smaller ailments have vanished in a short time, so that the children did not have to neglect their school work. They get their lessons better and more easily by knowing that God is everywhere, and ever ready to aid when His help is sought.
These are but a few of the most important demonstrations since I learned of Christian Science in July, 1907. I never understood our German domestic blessing, or motto, as I do now :—
