I am very grateful to God, and to Mrs. Eddy, for knowing this wonderful truth. My little girl was healed last winter, in two treatments, of what seemed a dreadful fever. On a Friday noon she was taken ill, and on Saturday she was very little better; but it was not much wonder, for I myself could not help her because I was full of the fear of having a doctor called for her. My husband would not listen to my having Christian Science treatment for her, but I at last telephoned to a practitioner to come and see her, which she did. The practitioner told me that since my husband wished to get a doctor to treat the child, it would be well to do so. I promised to get the doctor at once, but asked the practitioner to treat her in the mean time, which she did at four o'clock in the afternoon. At seven o'clock I was to call up the practitioner and let her know how the child was, also what the doctor had said. I had not been able up to seven o'clock to get a doctor, and at eight o'clock the child was up, well, and was playing. At nine o'clock the doctor came, but could not find anything at all the matter with the child. The little one said to me, "The Christian Science practitioner healed me with her prayers, didn't she, mamma?"
