LETTERS TO OUR LEADER

Camberley, England, Dec. 26, 1907. Beloved Leader:—Recently I have been much impressed by the wonderful demonstration you have made in the perfect organization of the Christian Science movement. I feel prompted to express to you my deep thanks for the careful thought you must have given to the progress of the many students who seem to be isolated, and thus found a means of uniting all loyal Truth seekers in a sense of the oneness of Mind, whereby unity is realized and loneliness destroyed. The study of our Sentinel and Journal, with the Bible Lessons, is an unending blessing to many workers in remote districts who but rarely meet with fellow-Scientists. Only those so situated can fully value the blessings of the literature which you have thus provided to aid our spiritual growth. These periodicals, together with your own inspired writings (I use the adjective unhesitatingly after seven years' study of them), comprise part of the demonstration for which I desire to convey to you, beloved Leader, my heartfelt thanks. Many are the blessings that I have realized through this helpful reading, which has also led me to regard the Bible and the life of our Lord Jesus in an entirely new light. We all know that God is blessing and will continue to bless you, and that you are teaching the world to ponder upon the truths of Christian Science.

With reverent love, yours very gratefully,

Walter Shaw.
