When I look back over the past and note the difference between my life and surroundings now and before I learned a little of Christian Science, I feel that I am not truly grateful for all these blessings unless I send forth the good news publicly, that perhaps another may be encouraged by my words at least to try what Christian Science will do. Three years ago I was healed of a double hernia with a few weeks' absent treatment by a faithful Scientist whom at that time I had never met or talked to. My wife was healed of severe headaches, and eye trouble for which she had worn glasses for several years. She at once laid the glasses off and has never felt the need of them since. Our little girl, seven years old, was healed of chronic bowel trouble, which had grown so severe that medicines of all kinds had failed to help. Since taking up the daily study of the Bible and Science and Health many minor complaints have disappeared, such as liver and kidney trouble, etc., also the desire for tobacco and strong drink, and the indulgence of profanity. Beside all this we are learning the true road to success in business. Our financila condition has improved a hundred per cent, and the waves of fear, doubt, and discontent have heard and are obeying the Christ command, "Peace, be still." We are learning to realize that God, divine Love, is supreme, and is a present help in times of need of all kinds.

We should be ungrateful indeed if we did not acknowledge our love for Mrs. Eddy and thank her for the book which has made possible in this age the understanding of God, who heals all our diseases.
