REGRET

[Those who have received copies of the pamphlet mentioned in the following letter, no doubt have noticed that it contains profuse quotations from Science and Health, which is not only a violation of our Church By-laws, but also an infringement of the author's copyright. We gladly publish Mr. Smith's apology.—Editor.]

As Publication Committee for the State of Minnesota, in my pamphlet entitled "Answer to 'Decision of The Session of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of St. Paul, Refusing Letters of Dismission to Mr. and Mrs. Harry I. Weickert, to First Church of Christ, Scientist, of St. Paul, with the Reasons for the Decision,'" I unintentionally made larger quotations from the copyrighted writings of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker G. Eddy, than are permitted by the By-law, Article XXII., Sect. 9.

I sincerely regret this, for it is and always has been my honest purpose to the best of my ability to conform strictly to the Manual of The Mother Church, as well as to all the wishes of my revered Teacher, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science.
