It would be impossible to express in words my gratitude...
It would be impossible to express in words my gratitude for Christian Science, for I am glad to tell what it has done for me. Even as a child I was never quite free from some ailment, and for the last fifteen years I had been growing steadily worse, until I had become a nervous wreck, suffering at times with my stomach, and three days a week I was prostrated with severe neuralgic trouble. Five doctors had treated me, one after the other, each leaving me no better than when he found me.
One year ago I sent for a Christian Science practitioner, and in two months' time I was a different creature. I have never had my glasses on from the time of the first treatment, while before I could not use my eyes without them for more than five minutes. My friends look at me and say the change is a miracle, but I know it is the natural thing for God's children to be healthy and harmonious. He never sends sickness or sorrow, and I should like to gather all into the fold, to know the peace and joy which we can claim and so be free.
Daily I pray God to bless Mrs. Eddy for what she has done in showing us the way in Christian Science. It has done much for me physically, and what means a great deal more, it has brought me knowledge of the peace which passeth all understanding. I am indeed thankful to God, and to our Leader, who is so patiently showing us, step by step, how to claim what rightfully belongs to us all,—health and happiness.
