From my early childhood I had been a sufferer from stomach trouble, and as I grew order other maladies appeared, till I was miserable most of the time. I was either under a doctor's care or taking medicine recommended by well-meaning sympathizers. Some of these remedies seemed to relieve my suffering for a time, but it only returned in an aggravated form. This condition continued till I was a nervous wreck. Clouds seemed to gather thicker and thicker till October, 1904, when the doctor said I had a malignant growth in the stomach. I believed this, as my grandfather and his father had died with kindred trouble, and we therefore thought it hereditary. This was my condition when I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner, and as a result I was practically healed inside of three weeks, being able to eat or drink anything I wanted from the first. For more than a year I have been doing all the work for a family of four, besides visitors, and can do it without being tired and worn out, as I used to be all the time.
Does any one wonder that I am thankful to God for Christian Science, which brought me out of misery and darkness into the light and peace that passeth understanding? I am also grateful to our Leader for bringing us the truth that makes us free.
Mrs. Caroline R. Cochran, Watertown, S. D.
