The Lectures

First Church of Christ, Scientist, was crowded last night [December 18], the occasion being the delivery of an address by Judge Septimus J. Hanna of Colorado Springs on Christian Science.

Judge Hanna was introduced to the audience by Attorney George H. Hutton, who said in part,—

Those of us here who know little or nothing of Christian Science from the standpoint of Christian Scientists, occupy the unique position of jurors who have listened to but one half of the testimony in a cause in which they have been impaneled. As jurors in such a cause it would be your duty and mine, and a duty that we owe to mankind, to hold our minds free, unbiased, and unprejudiced until we have heard from both sides of the case.
