I wish to tell what Christian Science did for me that others may know what Truth will accomplish. I was attending my gymnasium class one evening when I slipped and fell quite a distance from the bars and struck my foot so as to fracture my ankle. As soon as I fell our professor came to me and started to rub my ankle back in place, but I was suffering so much that I wanted to go home, telling them that I would be all right in the morning. A short time before this accident I had had a few treatments and had cast aside a number of little complaints and thought that I could do the same with my foot, but as soon as I fell, my ankle commenced to swell and continued to swell until it was twice its natural size. They took me home and I told my mother that I was hurt, but not to worry, that I would be all right by morning.

When morning came I could not put my foot to the floor and suffered very much. Our friends came in and gave us a number of home remedies which my mother used without giving me any relief. She wanted to call the doctor, but I said that he could not help me and I would not have him. This accident happened on Friday evening and by Sunday I was in much pain; so after breakfast I asked my mother to go to the Christian Science Church and tell my practitioner about it. The lady told my mother to stop using those remedies and to know that I could step on that foot. I tried to use my foot but suffered too much, and when evening came my mother went to the home of the practitioner and she said that she would work for me that night, and if we wanted to have the ankle examined by a surgeon to do so, but if possible to wait until morning.

The lady came to my home the next morning and had a long talk. She gave me a treatment and said that she didn't think my ankle broken, but if we wanted to call our physician, to call him. I still refused to have him, and about an hour after the lady left our home I put my foot to the floor and walked on it. I have continued to use it, and it is perfectly well. My foot was badly discolored, but in a short time the discoloration all disappeared. I am a business woman and I only lost two days from my office. I feel very thankful for what Christian Science has done for me. Several members of our family have taken up its study.—B. E. F., Des Moines, Ia.
