Some years ago, when I knew but very little of Christian Science, I came across a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker G. Eddy, in one of our public libraries.

For years I had been addicted to the use of liquor, and was surprised to find one day that I had lost all appetite for whiskey and beer, not knowing at the time that the mere reading of this book could awaken such an interest in Truth as to heal the sick and reform the sinner.

I am very thankful for my deliverance from the bondage to drink in what might be called, a moderate degree.
