It is over twelve years since I first heard of Christian Science and took treatment. I had then been an invalid for four years, traveling about in search of health. I had been pronounced incurable by two physicians who wrote to my sister saying nothing could be done for me, I could live but a short time. I had been operated on twice for spinal trouble, which physicians said brought about other troubles.
When quite a little girl I began to manifest stomach trouble, and for years I was a slave to drugs, never being able to eat a meal without following it with a powder which we kept on hand in quantities. Finally the powders ceased to give any relief. A milk diet at long intervals was prescribed and I was fairly starving when Christian Science found me. I also used an air-cushion and wore an electric belt. All this terminated in extreme nervous prostration and inflammation of the stomach.
When I heard of Christian Science, I decided to lay aside the belt, to get along without the air-cushion, and to give Christian Science a fair trial.
