Christian Science does not purpose to supplant primitive...

Lewiston (Me.) Sun

Christian Science does not purpose to supplant primitive Christianity nor do anything destructive to the Bible; its mission is to make Christianity more practical and to reveal the hidden treasures of God's Word.

I am a Christian Scientist because Christian Science inculcates a deep faith in God, because it gives a clear, comprehensive definition of Him and reveals His nature and essence, because it clearly outlines Christian duty and gives the Christian man a clear sense of right.

I believe in Christian Science because in proportion to his understanding of God as All in all, his trust in God, and the degree of Truth and Love which he manifests, the Christian Scientist is enabled to overcome sin and heal sickness. This Christian Science influence for good is reaching to the uttermost parts of the earth and gathering within its fold the infidel, the sinner, and the sick as is made evident in the rapid growth of the denomination.
