To show that faith in Christian Science is not indispensable...

To show that faith in Christian Science is not indispensable to healing, I will tell of a recent demonstration. A week ago my husband fell, spraining his ankle. It did not give him any immediate trouble but towards evening it developed rapidly into a very serious case. The suffering was so intense as to cause faintness and chills, with other ills. We were advised by kind friends to apply bandages, but did not use any material remedies.

I asked him if he were willing for me to telephone to a practitioner for help. He replied that he was willing, but that he knew they couldn't help him as he was too sick. In a short time he gave evidence of being relieved, and in two hours was sleeping quietly. In the morning he was able to leave his room without help. He improved rapidly through the day, and by evening walked home from his place of business, which is about a quarter of a mile distant, without trouble. "Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men !"

I am very thankful for having seen this beautiful demonstration of truth. It has given me fresh inspiration to "Rise, in the strength of Spirit, to resist all that is unlike God" (Science and Health, p. 393). I believe that if we are earnest in our seeking we shall see the salvation of our God.—C. A. C., Scituate, R.I.
