Not finding the harmony in married life that I expected I was very unhappy. I read the Bible, but no response came. One day some years ago I visited a friend where I met with Christian Science. After this my child became a wreck from indigestion, and the doctor said he would not live to be three years old, but in three weeks' time he was cured by Christian Science, and is now nine years old. This made me determined to find the truth, and the Bible is now the book of life to me, through Science.

When I found Science and Health, I had to clear the chaff from the wheat in my own thought in order to reach harmony. There was nothing left me to mortal sense, for my husband passed on four years ago. Before this occurred he had gained a sufficient understanding to open his eyes to the truth of Christian Science, and this gave me much comfort. I put my children in the Sunday School, and although I had many difficulties to meet, they have all been overcome by the understanding that God is All-in-all, and matter nothingness.

I would like to mention one demonstration. It was a condition of gangrene resulting from a case of small-pox. The ailment was overcome in two nights. In the morning the patient sat up, walked a few steps, which he had not done before for three months, and is now a well man. We know this power of scientific healing is of God, who is Truth, Life, and Love.
