A lesson teaching the reward of childlike trust may be learned from the following incident. Some time ago the call came to go to see a young boy who seemed seriously ill. The practitioner found him in bed, groaning with every breath from pains in his chest. The remark was made in sitting down by the bed, "Don't you know that God is Love,—tender Love,—which is ever-present? Then can anything hurt you in this ever-presence?" A wondering look come into his tear-filled eyes, which showed that he had heard and believed those words of Truth. The work was finished, the groaning ceased. He asked for something to eat, and was told he could be dressed and go down to dinner, which he did, perfectly relieved from all symptoms of pneumonia. The child's faith in the spoken Word was the open door for the quick healing.
