The government of ever-present Intelligence, or "God with us," is demonstrated almost daily by the children of our family, they being fully alive to the fact that Christian Science is their best guide. Although they are the most active children in the neighborhood, the knowledge of harmony, present and perfect, protects them from many of the troubles usual in childhood. Should they fall temporarily into trouble, the rapidity with which they get out is wonderful.

Three years ago when they first knew of Christian Science, our four-year-old boy was attacked by inflammatory rheumatism which was so painful that he lay on pillows and would scream if even touched. This lasted about twenty-four hours, during which time Christian Science treatment was given. His recovery was quick, complete, and permanent. The whole trouble went all at once, the healing being heralded by his jumping off the bed and asking some one to "play horse" and drive him around the rooms, during which time he ran and capered with no sign of pain. As before stated, the healing was permanent.

Our other boy, seven years old, had his hand and arm badly burned last Fourth of July, by a Roman candle shooting out of the wrong end. Through the immediate realization of Truth the fear and pain were allayed, and the boy continued setting off his fireworks. The mark of the burn rapidly disappeared with no further pain whatever. Thus by daily demonstrations we learn that the right and perfect way is always at hand, if we but turn, see it, and walk therein. The constant work of a true Christian Scientist is to bring all into that perfect way.
