When I was very young I was...
When I was very young I was enrolled in the Christian Science Sunday School, and I had the privilege of attending it until I reached the age of twenty. An outstanding healing I experienced was that of ivy poisoning. Each summer for several years I suffered from an attack of this condition, but the last time it was very severe.
A Christian Science practitioner was called upon for help through prayer. On the second day she came to talk with me. I was receptive to the loving and uplifting thoughts she expressed; and within two or three days the condition had so cleared up that it was hardly noticeable, and in about a week I was completely free. There has been no return of the condition during the past nine years, although I have been in places where the plant was growing.
About two years ago a painful condition developed in my back, but I do not know what it would have been called. I became rather fearful; and realizing that fear had to be met before healing could take place, I called a practitioner. Together we held to the truths of man, who is perfect, an idea of God: of man, made in the image and likeness of God: of man spiritual, upright, whole, and free now.
