"WE OWN NO PAST"
Remembering the happenings of time gone by is a large part of mankind's thought process. Quite often these memories give as much pain as pleasure, because they appear to stand as undeniable, unchangeable evidence that the individual has once done wrong and may do so again.
St. Paul writes in II Corinthians (5:17), "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." In the study of Christian Science, we find out what manner of man the new creature in Christ is.
In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we learn that God makes and maintains man in His own image. This man, gracious, wise, poised, unerring, and intelligent, is always at one with God and has never left and can never leave Deity to wander through time, accumulating painful experiences.
