Church Dedications

Dedication services were held at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lynwood, California, at 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m. on June 29. The Lesson-Sermon from the Christian Science Quarterly, entitled "Christian Science," was read....

Christian Science Society, Lynwood, was granted recognition on October 2, 1925, as an authorized branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. As a result of progress and growth it was recognized as First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lynwood, in 1930, and incorporated in 1931.

The church building was erected on the present site in 1934 and dedicated in 1942. In 1949 plans were made to convert the church building into a Sunday School room and to add a new auditorium. Opening services were held in the new edifice on April 1, 1951, and it was dedicated on Sunday....

Regular Sunday morning services are held at eleven o'clock, and Wednesday evening testimony meetings at eight o'clock.
