COLLEGE ORGANIZATION ACTIVITY AND INDIVIDUAL GROWTH

The blessings that can unfold to the individual through activity in the Christian Science organization of his college are numerous. For one thing, he gains experience which is later valuable in church work, and he enjoys a feeling of comradeship with Christian Scientists of his own age group. But, most important of all, the services conducted by a Christian Science organization help to establish one's thought and keep it on a spiritual, correct level.

The Christian Scientist learns early in his study of this religion that only those activities which draw him closer to God, which allow and encourage him to express Godlike thoughts, are constructive. And if he has even a glimpse of the spiritual freedom which Christian Science offers to the world from every form of limitation imagined by the physical senses, he will want to do nothing that would impede his progress in learning more of Christian Science.

There is of course nothing to be afraid of in any constructive human activity. And the Christian Scientist, as well as anyone else, wants a rich and satisfying human experience. In college, this means that he wants a full intellectual life, adequate recreation relaxation, and a measure of social activity.
