RADIO PROGRAM No. 293 - How a Businessman Was Divinely Guided

Speaker: It's natural for the businessman to turn to the best known source for counsel and guidance so that his affairs may be handled wisely and harmoniously. Our guest today, Charles A. Spaulding, Jr., of Omaha, Nebraska, faced a serious crisis in his business. He turned to God, divine Mind, for guidance, and he's going to tell you how the problem was completely resolved.

How long ago was this, Mr. Spaulding?

Mr. Spaulding: It was about ten years ago. Our business had expanded very rapidly due to some government contracts. We jumped from ten shop employees to about one hundred and fifty. But our accounting and management control didn't keep pace with the growth. We were doing several million dollars' worth of business a year, but we ran into financial trouble. So we called in an accounting firm to analyze the picture. They discovered we were really in deep water. We owed hundreds of thousands of dollars. Most of our assets were in accounts receivable and depreciated inventory. It looked as if bankruptcy were the only way out. The auditors said so, and our attorneys did too.
