THE PRAYER OF PETITION
"The Soul-inspired patriarchs heard the voice of Truth, and talked with God as consciously as man talks with man." So writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 308 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures."
All through the Bible are inspiring accounts of spiritually minded men and women who accomplished wonderful things through prayer to God. Turning their thoughts continually and expectantly to Him, they received specific divine guidance and instruction and also power to follow that guidance and achieve what often seemed humanly impossible.
In this present age the same results may still be obtained. Through understanding prayer we may all avail ourselves of the ever-present help and guidance of God.
