Staff Meetings Can Be Helpful

The fulfillment of the mission of a Christian Science Reading Room in a community depends largely upon the expanding conception of the activity by the librarian and staff. As Truth is sought, loved, and lived by these members and as there is earnest desire to serve our great Cause, the words of our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, found in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454), take on new light and significance for the Reading Room: "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way. Right motives give pinions to thought, and strength and freedom to speech and action."

Carefully planned staff meetings often add to progress and success. In this connection a librarian reports as follows:

"The unfoldment and accompanying growth of our Reading Room have been steady and orderly from the time we began to hold quarterly staff meetings for the purpose of gaining a better understanding of this activity's service to the community.
