LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

A recent issue of the Leader had a letter from [a contributor] under the heading "Do Healers Achieve Anything?" The writer refers to healers in the "more orthodox religious sects and in others including Christian Science," and whilst he is very generous in approving the motives of healers, he calls for a follow-up report from those healed.

I am therefore wondering whether your contributor is aware of the many avenues through which knowledge of the healing brought about by a better understanding of God, as taught by Christian Science, is made available to the public.

First I would mention the Christian Science periodicals: The Christian Science Journal (published monthly) and Christian Science Sentinel (published weekly), in which appear verified testimonies of those healed. Either of these periodicals can be seen in any Christian Science Reading Room and in many public libraries.

On Wednesday evenings, testimony meetings are held in Christian Science churches throughout the world, and those healed tell of their healing experiences. These immediate channels make it possible for anyone to witness the effect of better health and happiness, and what is more important, the spiritual regeneration which comes through this revelation of God's love for man.

I sincerely hope that your readers will use these channels and see for themselves the permanent nature of the healing brought about by Christian Science.
