SWEETER THAN THE SONG OF BIRD
FAR
sweeter than the song of bird
The tranquil voice of Truth I heard.
The wind itself was hushed to hear
The living Word, so still, so clear,
Whose calm command calls forth the light
That rends the dark veil of earth's night,
Dissolving error's every trace,
Revealing man, the son of grace,
Walking forth with freedom's stride,
Ennobled, blessed, and glorified.
Far sweeter than the song of bird
The tranquil voice of Truth I heard.
