For a number of years, I was subject to tumorous growths in the abdomen. Surgery had been performed for their removal, but they continued to reappear. While a student at college, I desired to take up swimming. A medical examination was required by the college before I could qualify.
By this time I was interested in Christian Science, and I decided that I would yield to the medical examination only in order to meet the requirements of the swimming course. During the examination the doctor stated that I had better give up the idea of having swimming instruction. He said that I should enter a hospital, because a large and serious growth in the abdomen was evident.
