Christian Science has been my only physician for many years, and it would be impossible for me to recount all the blessings that have come to me through its healing ministry. My first healing was that of Bright's disease. Some of the phases of this disease were remedied at once, and through the consrated work of a practitioner the healing was completed. There has been no recurrence.

More than twenty years ago I was working on a night shift as a tender of an annealing furnace. One night there was too much air pressure in the furnace, and the flame was forced out through the fire box. My face was severely scorched. This happened about nine o'clock, and I had ten more hours of work ahead of me. I commenced repeating "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468) and continued declaring the truth throughout the night. All pain ceased, and I finished my shift.

I went directly from my work to a practitioner whom I had known for many years. Although my face was so badly burned that he did not recognize me at first, it was healed in less than two weeks without a trace of a scar remaining. I returned to my work with a great sense of gratitude for this proof of the power of divine Science.
