RADIO PROGRAM No. 221 - An Effective Approach to Problems of Eyesight

Speaker: You know, it often seems that time and strain would interfere with our faculties—our sight or hearing. So it's encouraging to find that there's a way to overcome such limitations, for we can turn to God's power for healing. This was exactly what our guest did, and she found healing. It's a great pleasure to introduce Mrs. Mary M. Martin of Melbourne, Australia.

Mrs. Martin: Ten years ago I began to realize that it was becoming more and more difficult for me to read easily. I had to hold things quite some distance from me, and then I had to half close my eyes to get a focus on the words. I awakened to the fact that I had been managing to read only in this way for some time, and it certainly was not the normal way to read or to see.

I have been a student of Christian Science for several decades, and I had no thought of getting glasses. When this difficulty became so apparent, I knew I could turn with full reliance to God for healing. I'd seen in my own family and in my own home many wonderful healings through prayer in Christian Science; so it never occurred to me to use any other means. I knew God's power is always available and ever present.
