Tenets of The Mother Church

The printed Tenets of The Mother Church are in general use by branch churches and societies, either as a basis for their application forms for admission to membership or for binding into their by-law booklets.

They may now be obtained in English alone or in German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Polish, accompanied by the original English text.

The Tenets of The Mother Church are copyrighted, and branch organizations are not permitted to print them or to have them printed. But they may be obtained in two sizes from the Clerk of The Mother Church in the quantity desired. A local printer should then add whatever data are necessary to meet the requirements of the individual branch organizations.

The large size sheet measures approximately 5 x 8 inches, and is the one usually selected by the branch organizations as a basis for their membership blanks. The small size measures approximately 4 x 6 inches, and is used chiefly for binding into by-law booklets. Prices, either in English or in translation, are as follows:
Lots of 100 or more—either size $ .75
Lots of 100—50 large and 50 small .75
Lots of 50—either size .50 Unless otherwise specified, the large size will be sent. Minimum orders are for lots of 50.

Remittances by money order or check should be enclosed with all orders and be made payable to Gordon V. Comer, Clerk, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.

A Way to Higher Humanity Through Church Membership

The Mother Church contributes mightily to the elevation of human thought. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, could see that the uplifting of humanity must come through right thinking and that this can be brought about through a clearer realization of her high concept of Church. She has written in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 571), "The cement of a higher humanity will unite all interests in the one divinity." Membership in The Mother Church enables one to become an active participant in this great work, and also to become a recipient of its infinite blessings.

Those who believe in Christian Science according to the platform and teaching found in the Christian Science textbook (see Manual, Art. IV, Sect. 1) may apply for membership in The Mother Church.

Application blanks and any other information concerning membership may be obtained at Christian Science Reading Rooms, from clerks of branch churches and societies, from Christian Science practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, or from Gordon V. Comer, Clerk of The Mother Church, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.
