DISCIPLE'S PRAYER

Let me be patient, Lord, with those
Who come to me;
For I would be as he who taught
In Galilee.

Give me an understanding heart
That I, like him,
May guide the faltering steps of those
Whose sight is dim.

I would express the radiant truth
That I perceive,
And share with everyone the love
That I receive.
