Almost thirty years ago I had my first treatment from a Christian Science practitioner, and the result was so marked and seemed so miraculous that I have been earnestly following the light of this truth ever since.

I am grateful that I have been able to retain in memory many statements which our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has given us in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," for they have brought me a number of instantaneous healings. One morning I awoke with all the symptoms of grippe. Almost at the instant that the suggestion of the disease came, this sentence came also and immediately banished all discomfort (ibid., p. 15): "In the quiet sanctuary of earnest longings, we must deny sin and plead God's allness." At another time I had been suffering from lumbago and this declaration healed me the moment I recalled it (ibid., p. 567): "The Gabriel of His presence has no contests."

Other healings have been those of goiter, asthma, and a severe nervous breakdown. Also worry, sensitiveness, and the tendency toward criticism have been in some measure overcome. I am grateful that this blessed truth is becoming known to all people and God's reign of good is gradually being recognized and acknowledged.
