MARKING THE PERFECT MAN

"We do not see much of the real man here, for he is God's man; while ours is man's man." So says our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in her work "Unity of Good" (p. 46). The Psalmist discerned something of the real man, for he wrote (Ps. 37:37), "Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace."

Yes, the real man, God's man, is perfect, sound, intact; he lives in eternity, moves in infinity, and has his being in immortality. This man is the spiritual selfhood of each one of us, as is revealed in Christian Science.

Man has his place, his work, and his reward in the eternal plan. And he knows it. Hence his joy! Guided by unerring Principle, man is definite about his place. No vague speculating, no frustrated wondering, in his decisive consciousness! He is ever in his right place because man's place and purpose are eternally fixed in Mind. His unfoldment is after the pattern of divine Principle: perfect God, perfect man, and perfect will of God.
