Using the Truth We Know

In I Thessalonians we are admonished to "pray without ceasing." Since prayer replaces material beliefs through the realization of spiritual realities, one comprehends how it is possible to be obedient to this Scriptural command. As the truths set forth in the Bible are understood and obeyed, they become unfailing guides to health, happiness, and genuine success.

In Joshua we have positive instruction to be steadfast in our meditation upon spiritual things. We read, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." As we recognize the possibility of experiencing infinite good through obedience to such Biblical promises, there is no longer the temptation to turn aside to the empty bypaths of materiality.

As we endeavor daily and hourly to use the understanding we have gained of Truth, God, we shall see new vistas opening before us, and shall find our spiritual understanding greatly enhanced. Our failure to gain the desired result in any situation upon which we are working is not always due to lack of understanding of divine Principle, but is often the result of failure to apply steadfastly the truth we know.
