A person calling himself a Christian and going around with a doleful face is a misnomer. Christianity means happiness.

The early Christians were always in trouble, were never afraid, and were ... happy, even though they were harassed by the Romans, were thrown into prison, made to fight against wild beasts, and subjected to all forms of cruelty.
