Christian Science has been a great help to me during many years.

A few years ago, owing to certain circumstances, it seemed best that I should leave my business position. I applied teachings teachings of Christian Science in solving this problem, and looked for another position. One was practically promised to me, but finally was given to someone else. I was at first very much disappointed. A friend pointed out to me, however, that if I was going to work this out through Christian Science, my duty in the meantime was to be happy and contented, and do the very best I could where I was.

Shortly after this another position was offered me, which I accepted. The work was rather different from that to which I was accustomed, and I felt very nervous about it at first. But each day I worked to know that "the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works." I realized that since God is infinite Mind, and man the image and likeness of God, I had sufficient intelligence to do all that was required of me. I was also very much helped by an article in the Christian Science Sentinel entitled "God's Omnipresence." The first paragraph referred to the experience of Moses, who, when he felt afraid of undertaking the work which God had given him to do, asked God whom He would send with him to help him, and God said, "My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest." This article helped me immensely, and I am grateful to say that in a short time I was quite happy in my new work.
