The reference to Christian Science in a recent issue of your paper, under the caption "A Family Doctor's Autobiography," is interesting; and the kindly remarks concerning Christian Science are fully appreciated.

However, I should like to correct the inference that Christian Science does not and cannot heal organic disease. If readers desire to substantiate this, I would invite them to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting at any Christian Science church, where testimonies of healing are given voluntarily; or to visit a free public library or Christian Science Reading Room, where the weekly editions of the Christian Science Sentinel may be seen, containing well-authenticated cases of the healing of diseases, both functional and organic.

As students of Christian Science we appreciate the self-sacrifice and loving efforts of many members of the medical profession. In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, it is stated (p. 151), "Great respect is due the motives and philanthropy of the higher class of physicians."
