In gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me in the twenty years I have been a member of The Mother Church, I should like to testify to some of the healings which have come to me, some through the help of practitioners and some by reading the Bible with Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the "key" which unlocks the spiritual treasures of His Word. A nervous breakdown caused much suffering, fear, and mental disturbance. However, through Christian Science I was healed in a few weeks, and realized God's protecting, loving presence. Lesser errors, such as constipation, headaches, rheumatism, and so forth, vanished.

During one of my very busy seasons of china painting, error kept repeating, "You must stop and lie down." I knew that if I obeyed such thoughts my work could not be finished on time, as promised. God's thoughts came to my help in these words from the Bible: "Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary?" All weariness was forgotten instantly, and my full day's work was completed on time.

I am grateful for all the activities of The Mother Church; for membership in this church; and for all of Mrs. Eddy's writings. As she says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 275), "Father, we thank Thee that Thy light and Thy love reach earth, open the prison to them that are bound, console the innocent, and throw wide the gates of heaven."—(Mrs.) Matilda St. John Clemens, Durand, Wisconsin.
