I became interested in Christian Science nearly twenty years ago. It has surely been proved to me that God is an ever-present help when we apply the blessed truth as revealed by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in Science and Health. Previous to my coming into Christian Science, I was a member of an orthodox church which I had attended since I was old enough to enter Sunday school, and my first healing through our Leader's teachings was liberation from a fear of the end of the world.

I have experienced and also witnessed many healings since I have studied the Bible with the aid of the textbook and other writings by Mrs. Eddy. My husband was healed of the smoking habit of almost twenty years' standing, shortly after making application for class instruction.

Three months before our baby was born I fell and broke one of my legs just above the ankle. Material sense suggested fear through arguments of error, such as age, lack of exercise, and numerous other so-called laws of mortal mind. But the broken bone was nicely healed before the baby was born. This was another proof of God's protective care for His children. Our baby was normal in every way, and I was able to be removed to my home within forty-eight hours after the birth. During the months of anxiety Mrs. Eddy's poem, "Mother's Evening Prayer" (Poems, p. 4), was a great comfort and help to me.
