In a recent issue of your paper appear references to Christian Science which, although intended to be friendly and informative, are not strictly correct, and I shall be glad of a little space in your columns to make the necessary corrections.
For the purpose of presenting the facts of Christian Science to the public, branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, arrange for one or more lectures to be delivered in their district each year by an authorized Christian Science lecturer. These lectures are public, and many of those who attend have not previously heard of Christian Science, but are seeking for health, joy, and peace.
Nearly two thousand years ago, Christ Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly," and through the gospel which he preached, he regenerated the sinner, healed the sick, the halt, the blind, and raised the dead. He also taught his disciples to do these same healing works through the power of truth as contained in the gospel, and before he left this earth, he said the Father would send them another Comforter.
