I have received so much good from testimonies since I started studying Christian Science that I feel I must give a testimony of my own.

My family became interested in this Science through the healing of an uncle. A copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy was sent to my mother, who began to study it. I can remember very well my first healing, which occurred when I was about nine years old. A glandular swelling appeared on my neck, and after a time it was said to be tubercular. I was not expected to live. Then a Christian Science practitioner in another city was called, for we lived in a small town and knew of no practitioners there. One night my mother was up with me until four-thirty in the morning, after which I fell asleep and awoke at seven entirely healed.

Christian Science has helped me in my schoolwork, and in getting a position in a strange city at a time when others found employment hard to obtain. It has protected and led me through a difficult period, has given me a very harmonious home, and helped both my husband and me financially when we seemed to have little. But most of all it has helped me in overcoming unpleasant traits of character.
