Humility

To know that God is All to thee,
That He does all and cares for thee,
That naught without Him canst thou be—
This is humility.

To seek to know and do His will,
To pray that thou His plan fulfill,
And to obey His "Peace, be still!"
This is humility.

To realize that Love's all-power
Is present with thee every hour;
Without Love, vain were shield and tower—
This is humility.

To think and speak and act and be,
So Love may be expressed by thee
That others from their woes be free—
This is humility.
