We have had a conspicuous increase in new members this year. In most cases they are freshmen at the university, who have looked forward to organization work with other Christian Science students. Before school opened, the directors of Fifth Church of Christ, Scientist, invited us to use a room in their building, which is near the campus, for which we paid a small monthly rent. But our members had a growing conviction that our work would be more useful to college people if we held our meetings on the campus. The executive committee of the organization approached various college officials without any definite result. Then we were offered the chapel of the new Adult Education Building for one meeting. We were grateful for the invitation, and held our next meeting in the chapel. During the next few days many members expressed a great desire that all our meetings should be held there, and offered their help to bring this about. And since early in the winter we have had, each Thursday noon, a meeting in the chapel. We make arrangements from week to week, because those in charge of the building cannot promise it in any other way on account of university regulations. It was a step forward for the organization to move to the campus with its meetings, and to be able to remain there.

For the first time in many years, the organization gave two lectures during the school year. The lecture committee felt that a daytime lecture, though preventing many parents from attending, would make the Christian Science message more available to college students.

We are very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for her provision for college organizations.
