Infinite Mind Includes All
In order to understand the beauty of the real man's consciousness, the Christian Scientist must see the unreality of every hindering argument of so-called mortal mind, and continuously widen his concept of God, infinite Mind. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes (p. 94): "Man reflects infinite Truth, Life, and Love. The nature of man, thus understood, includes all that is implied by the terms 'image' and 'likeness' as used in Scripture."
True consciousness expresses the unerring, omniactive intelligence of divine Mind, and it is impossible to suffer, sin, grow sick, or be in want through this intelligence. Because man is the everlastingly unfolding expression of God, divine intelligence, one loyally refuses to speculate in a finite, personal way regarding one's prospects or opportunities. Discord, lack, misdirection, indirection, are unknowable; they have no representation or representative in God or man, in cause or effect. The universe and man express the fullness of God, their sole creator.
The Christian Scientist learns to accomplish that which is required of him through consciously relying on the faculties of divine Mind. His necessity is to exclude from his consciousness every negative argument of personal sense, so as to prove that his spiritual individuality and capacity are included in Mind and are under the government of divine Principle. Then he will naturally entertain right motives, and express the wisdom with which to translate them into right actions. Upholding in thought his status as God's witness, he will find right ideas inspiring him to carry on his work, whatever it may be, unerringly.
