The Way of Peace

I turn to Thee, dear God, nor turn in vain.
Thy love brings balm and sure release from pain.
When courage fails and high endeavors wane,
I call Thee, Father, and find peace again.

O Father-Mother, Thou who canst not see
One single flaw or mortal taint in me,
But findest all Thy sons to be like Thee,
Alight with love, harmonious, joyous, free,

Lead me, protect me; make Thy purpose clear;
Let me forever feel that Thou art near.
Make me to see that heaven is now and here.
Fill me with grateful love that knows no fear.

So may I, like the sun's obedient ray,
Reflect Thy glory and proclaim Thy day.
Dear God, I need not ask—I need not pray.
Thine is the kingdom—Thine the only way.
