New Mailing Cards in Color

Announcement is made by the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy of the publication of two artistic mailing cards in color.

One card bears the Daily Prayer from the Church Manual in a panel, back of which is grouped The Mother Church and its Extension, the Administration Building, and a wing of the new Publishing House, the whole in harmonious colors.

The other card bears a panel on which is printed the children's Prayer from "Miscellaneous Writings," page 400. The panel is in the forefront of a rural scene, with the figures of three charming children in the foreground, all done in a pleasing water-color effect.

The cards are printed on sturdy vellum card stock, each card enclosed in a white envelope ready for mailing, price 10 cents each, Reading Room price 8 cents each. It is desirable that orders be sent for not less than ten cards.

Librarians are requested to record the new cards in the Catalogue of Mrs. Eddy's Works on file in all Reading Rooms.

A New Edition of Science and Health

The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy announce the publication of a new edition of Science and Health, price $2.00 a copy. The new edition, to be known as the Sunday School Edition, is the same convenient size as the new Sunday School Hymnal, and is bound in blue and in brown cloth to match the Hymnal.

This new edition is designed to take the place of the Vest Pocket Edition, being printed in the same clear type as the regular Cloth and Pocket Editions of the textbook. The Vest Pocket Edition of Science and Health is to be discontinued when the stock of books on hand has been sold.

The new edition is printed on a fine grade of book paper, substantially bound in gold-stamped cloth covers, round corners, stained edges, size 4 5/8 x 65/8 x 1 inches, price $2.00; Reading Room price $1.80.

The New Crystal Miniatures

The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy have authorized the publication of the Daily Prayer from the Church Manual in the form of Crystal Miniatures, which are now on sale by the Publishers' Agent.

These miniatures are made possible by a new photographic process, in which a negative of the subject is printed photographically on a thin crystal substance called lacquer. A negative may be produced in any desired color. and when backed by a metal plate the subject is brought out in the color of the metal plate. The new miniatures consist of a print of the Daily Prayer over a metal background, framed in an attractive metal frame which may be used as an easel or hung on the wall.

There are two sizes, 31/4 x 4 1/4 inches, and 43/4 x 6 inches, finished in two styles, one in blue and silver, the other in black and gold. The smaller miniatures in either finish are listed at $1.25 each, Reading Room price $1.00; the large size in either finish, blue and silver or black and gold, are listed at $1.75, Reading Room price $1.40.

Librarians should record the miniatures in the complete catalogue of Mrs. Eddy's writings on file in all Christian Science Reading Rooms.

Art Panels on Glace Plaques Ready to Hang

For several years art panels bearing selections from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy have been published in form for framing. The same panels are now available in the form of glace plaques ready to hang on the wall.

Art panels will continue to be supplied in form for framing as heretofore.

The Church Manual in Braille

Readers of Braille will be happy to learn that the Church Manual is now available in Braille, Grade One and a Half. The publication of this new volume for the use of the blind has been authorized by the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy, in response to repeated requests by members of The Mother Church and of branch churches who read Braille.

This new edition contains 167 page, embossed on both sides, size of page approximately 11 x 11 inches, and is substantially bound in brown fabrikoid, the shelf back stamped in gold. Price $2.00 net postpaid to any address. There is no Reading Room discount.

Articles, Poems, and Testimonies

The Christian Science Publishing Society accepts religious articles and religious poems only from members of The Mother Church. Religious articles intended for the Journal, Sentinel, or Monitor should be sent to the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department, One, Norway Street, Boston, Massachusetts. Preferably contributors should correspond for themselves. A memorandum for contributors of religious articles and poems can be obtained from this department by request.

Convincing testimonies of Christian Science healing are also desired. Each testimony should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who either know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If, however, the testifier is not acquainted with three members of The Mother Church, his affidavit may be sufficient; but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members of The Mother Church. The testifier himself should obtain the verifications. Complete addresses of the testifier and those who vouch for him should be furnished with each testimony.

Source of Quotations

Contributors to the periodicals of articles, poems, and testimonies are asked to note that the source of all quotations, direct or indirect, should be given. The name of the author and of the work from which any quotation is taken, together with the page, should be specified.

CHURCH TENETS FOR USE OF BRANCE ORGANIZATIONS

The Tenets of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, for the use of branch Churches of Christ, Scientist, are printed on sheets containing space for adding the application forms for membership in branch organizations, or extracts from their by-laws. This additional printing of branch church data is to be provided by each church according to its needs. Because the Tenets of The Mother Church are copyrighted, branch organizations may not print these Tenets as part of their by-laws or on application forms for membership in their organizations.

Tenets in large and small sizes will be supplied through the Clerk of The Mother Church as follows: Price for Tenets in lots of 100, 75 cents; this includes orders for 100 large or 100 small size Tenets, or 50 large and 50 small Tenets. Minimum orders for lots of 50 Tenets, either size, 50 cents.

The large size Tenets are for application forms, the small size for binding into booklets. Unless otherwise specified the large size will be sent.

The Tenets may also be obtained in either size, printed on alternate pages in English and German, English and French, English and Italian, or English and Polish.

FROM THE CHURCH TREASURER

Per Capita Tax as provided in the Church Manual, Article VIII, Section 13, is due annually from "every member of The Mother Church," and "shall be forwarded each year to the Church Treasurer." This tax of "not less than one dollar" may be paid at any time during the fiscal year (May 1, 1936, to May 1, 1937), but should be forwarded preferably during the six months' period from October, 1936, to March, 1937, inclusive. When remitting, please inform the Treasurer of any change in your permanent address and state year of admission to membership.

Contributions to the Charitable Institutions Fund, Promotion and Extension Fund, The Christian Science Benevolent Association in Boston, The Christian Science Pleasant View Home in Concord, New Hampshire, Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast, and to the various other Funds of The Mother Church, such as the General Fund and Endowment Fund, are acceptable.
