In I Peter we read, "Ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light." I wish to give my tribute of praise and thanksgiving to God and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy for the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." This book has illumined the Bible for me and has called me out of darkness into the understanding of the Christ-healing.

I have been a student of Christian Science for over twenty-two years. I find that proportionably as I am earnest and obedient to the Christ, Truth, and love my neighbor as myself, do I receive the blessings promised. Through the reading of Science and Health I have been healed of a broken arch, chronic appendicitis, goiter, and many other physical ailments; in fact, my health has been restored.

Several years ago one of my hips was broken. An X ray showed a break in several places. After the first treatment had been given by a Christian Science practitioner, all pain ceased. At the end of six weeks I arose and walked, entirely healed. This verse from "Christ and Christmas" by Mrs. Eddy (p. 47) was helpful during the period of the unveiling of God's sweet mercies in my consciousness:
