I was born of Christian parents and it was their earnest...

I was born of Christian parents and it was their earnest desire that we all should early make our stand for Christ. So in my early days I became a member of an orthodox church, and also was active in Christian work. Later in life I joined another church, of which my husband was a member, and I have some very happy memories, but there were times when I did not feel quite satisfied.

Then a great sorrow fell upon me and I was brokenhearted. I joined the Church of England and became confirmed; also for a time I made a study of spiritualism; nothing, however, seemed to comfort me, and my sorrow was not healed. Then Christian Science came to me. At first I could not understand it, but as the truth dawned upon me, I knew that I had found the "pearl of great price," for it is indeed the truth that maketh free. My sorrow was healed.

I have had many proofs of the allness of God and of His tender and compassionate love and protection. My first healing was of a growth which affected one side of my face, quite disfiguring me. It had been troubling me for over thirty years. I was completely healed in five absent treatments, despite the fact that the doctor had said that only an operation could remove it. This was over ten years ago, and I am entirely free. I have had many healings, such as of influenza and constipation; also healings of lack or limitation; but the greatest healing of all is to know that our Father-Mother is a God of love. I could not tell you all it has meant to me.
