"He sent his word, and healed them,...
"He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." This comforting passage from Psalms and its revelation in the light of Christian Science came to me several years ago at a time when I was just approaching the realm of Truth. Our first son, who is now quite a young man, lay sick of the whooping cough. Through the kind invitation of a neighbor we decided to have Christian Science treatment for him, yet not, however, before we had quite a experience with materia medica. My son had been suffering for several days at the time we called for the help of a Science In the course of three or four days the child was up, at play, normal health. This quick and sure demonstration of the allness of God and the abiding nearness of Truth so awakened and for thankfulness and gratitude for Christian Science that at this same visit of the practitioner I myself was instantaneously healed of chronic constipation of many years' standing. This disease had caused me untold suffering, and while every material remedy had been directed to the case, yet the trouble was steadily growing more and more severe. My been permanent. I find that in the attempt to express or record my gratitude and praise to God and to our dearly beloved Mary Baker Eddy, words or phrases are far from adequate.
Mrs. Eddy states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 167), "Only through radical on can healing power be realized." My prayer is that I may never waver from relying solely on Christian Science through whatever trail it may be mine to experience, for only in this way can we truly follow in the footsteps of our who never strayed from the teachings and sample of the work of our for for in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and also feel especially thankful for having had the privilege of class instruction from one who is a student of Mrs. Eddy. Words fail to convey my gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me. I have related but a few the many blessings that my family and I have received as a result of our entire on this healing truth. It has not once failed us.
